More than 200,000 visitors gathered abroad at exhibitions dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great Russian composer and pianist Sergei Rachmaninoff. Exhibitions prepared by the Russian National Museum of Music opened in 43 countries around the world, TASS reports.

According to the General Director of the Russian Museum, Mikhail Bryzgalov, both live and virtual exhibitions had been created, where visitors could learn about the life and work of the Russian composer in 15 languages. Currently, Mikhail Bryzgalov stressed, Rachmaninoff exhibitions are operating in 43 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The Museum of Music also held concerts, round table discussions and other educational events in many Russian houses in European countries. Mikhail Bryzgalov stressed that in the past year, none of the events dedicated to Sergei Rachmaninoff were cancelled.
