Concert in Palermo dedicated to Sergei Rachmaninoff

The celebration of Sergei Rachmaninoff's anniversary continues over the world. The day before, a marathon concert dedicated to the work of the great Russian composer took place in Palermo, the telegram channel of the Russian Consulate General reports. The event was included in the Palermo Classic program. The International Festival of Classical and Jazz Music is taking place for the 13th time.

14 musicians from different countries took part in the concert. They performed more than 20 works by Rachmaninoff. Russian pianist Alexander Yakovlev also appeared on stage.

In July, Russian pianist Alexey Volodin appeared on the stage of the Steri Theater. His performance opened the Palermo Classica festival. Works by Russian and foreign composers were performed. The audience listened to the music of Rachmaninov, Korngold and Bernstein. Alexey Volodin performed with the symphony orchestra.
