Concert in Genoa dedicated to works of Sergei Rachmaninoff and Niccolo Paganini

Russian musicians performed works by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Niccolo Paganini at a concert in Genoa. The project was jointly organized by the Russian and Italian parties. It is planned to bring it in other cities of Italy, the telegram channel of the Center for Film Festivals and International Programs reports.

Works by the great composers of world music were performed within the walls of the Oratorio San Filippo Neri in Genoa as part of the Lighthouse of the Arts festival. The winners of all Russian and international competitions took to the stage: singers Daria Klimenko and Ilya Khardikov, pianist Sergei Semyonov, violinist Ekaterina Shchadilova.

Co-producer of the concert and vice-president of the Italian branch of the International Russophile Movement Mirko Preatoni recalled that the Cultural Mission in Italy project had been operating in the country for almost 20 years. This year it is coming to Milan, Naples, Rome, Bari. Mirko Preatoni noted that the project is aimed at preserving the dialogue between Russia and Italy, as well as ties between the societies of the two states.
