Denis Spitsov has won another bronze medal in PyeongChang, becoming the second-youngest medallist in this event at the Olympic Winter Games, TASS reports. Spitsov crossed the finish line the third with 34 minutes result at the 15 km cross country skiing competition. Dario Cologna from Switzerland took the gold. Norvegian skier Simen Hegstad Krueger came the second.

Other Russian athletes – Andrey Melnichenko, Andrey Larkov and Alexey Vitsenko, came to the finish line 14th, 20th and 48th accordingly. It's worth mentioning that Russian skiers have never won Olympics medals before.

It's already seventh medal won by Russian athletes performing at Winter Olympics under neutral flag. Before Russian figure skaters in the team category and Nikita Tragubov in skeleton have won silver. Bronze medals went to curlers Anastasia Bryzgalova and Alexander Krushelnitskiy, short-track speed-skater Semen Elistratov, and skiers Aleksandr Bolshunov and Yulia Belorukova.
