The Russian House of Sport organized by Russia at Winter Olympics in PyeongChang gained great popularity among the locals, according to Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin, TASS informs. He held a meeting with President of South Korea Moon Jae-in.

According to Levitin, The Sports House is, in fact, an institution of Russian-Korean friendship. It is very pleasant to see many Koreans there. What’s more, the House always welcomes guests. Everybody eager to observe the competitions can come to socialize and drink a cup of tea from Russian Samovars and treat themselves with traditional Russian cookies.

Note that The Russian House of Sport was opened on the border with PyeongChang. The gala opening ceremony was held on February 9. It was timed with the beginning of the Olympic Games. National athletes taking part in the competitions, veterans of the Olympic movement and others come to The Sports House.

The Russian House of Sport is very colorful. The central décor elements are huge Matryoshka dolls. They decorate the interior and walls of the House from outside. The red color prevails. Visitors can attend an interactive exhibition about development of winter sports in Russia. Awards, historical documents and other materials are presented at the exhibition.
