Russian hockey team won from Czech Republic team in the semifinals 3-0, TASS reports.

The first period ended in a draw, while on the 28th and 29th minute of the second period Vladislav Gavrikov and Nikita Gusev scored two goals. Half an hour later Ilya Kovalchuk scored the third one.

At this point Russians will face the winner of the Germany-Canada game for the gold medal on February 24th.

Note, it was the seventh game between Russia and Czech Republic at the Olympic Games. Five games out of seven have ended up with Russian team's victory.

The victory of our team in the coming game in finals would bring our country second Olympics medal. Let us remember, figure skater Alina Zagitova brought the gold to Russia.

In a course of Olympic's history Russian hockey team took gold seven times, in 1998 it was awarded silver in Nagano, Japan, and in 2002 bronze in Salt Lake City, US.
