First students at the St. Petersburg State University (SPBU) branch in Cairo have initiated their studies. They are currently enrolled in three programs, beginning with medical specialties such as medical business, pharmacy, and dentistry. Future plans include expanding the programs to cater to industries relevant to Egypt and the Middle East. Anticipated additions involve bachelor's programs in nursing, a master's program in artificial intelligence, and a specialization in physiotherapy.

The SPBU branch in Cairo is a collaborative effort between SPBU and Modern Group, a company specializing in education, pharmacy, and construction services.

Diplomas will adhere to SPBU's educational standards and international quality norms.

SPBU views the branch's establishment as a crucial stride in international cooperation, emphasizing the export of Russian education as a key objective. The university has already set up representative offices in Korea, China, Spain, Greece, Italy, Iran, and Thailand.
