Russia will increase the number of state-funded places in its universities for students from Burkina Faso, the African Initiative reports. According to Natalia Krasovskaya, coordinator of the Russian House in Ouagadougou, it is also important to develop and strengthen ties between higher educational institutions of the two countries. She led the delegation, which was received by the head of the government of the African country, Apollinaire Quilem de Tembela.

Natalia Krasovskaya noted that Russian language courses will be held at the Russian House. Africans will be able to study there both online and offline. Good command of the language will allow them to avoid the language barrier when studying in Russia, and will also help reduce the length of their studies.

Cultural and educational programs will be implemented at the Russian Cultural Center in Burkina Faso. The non-state Russian House was created in the capital of the African country in early 2024. The first event on its site was the Window to Russia exhibition.
