The Russian Language and Russian Space Culture Center was launched in Mali, RIA Novosti reports. Bamako representatives are sure that it will help the country to become a strategic partner of Russia in the educational sphere.

The People's Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) has opened a center at the University of Literature and Humanities in Bamako, Mali. Russian language courses will operate there on a permanent basis. Participating universities signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in science and education during the opening ceremony.

According to RUDN Rector Oleg Yastrebov, the center will become a driving force for the emergence of new ideas, talents and common projects. The project is designed to contribute to the expansion of humanitarian cooperation between educational organizations of Russia and Mali and further development of bilateral relations between the countries.

As Russky Mir reported earlier, Minister of Education and Science Burem Kansai noted that the republic has set the task of strategic partnership with Russia in the field of education. He noted that the new center will create educational programs for children and adults studying the Russian language, as well as organize scientific and methodological and educational projects and conduct educational activities.
