Tomsk State University (TSU) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology signed an agreement to create a network educational program aimed at training specialists in molecular engineering. Graduates will receive double diplomas, Interfax reports.

The program, comprising sections in biology, chemistry, mathematics, information technology, and engineering, will empower students to undertake projects in biomedicine and agro-biotech, contributing to technological sovereignty. The agreement for this initiative was signed during the third international forum centered on collaboration within the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. The program is set to commence in early autumn next year.

The program will involve students from both Russia and China, with training distributed equally between the two countries. TSU's advanced Agrobiotec engineering school will serve as the primary training platform.
