Two agreements were signed by representatives of the Russian East Siberian State University (VSGUTU) and Changchun Technological University (CTU) during the visit of the Russian university delegation to China, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science's Telegram channel reported. These agreements aim at developing cooperation in education, science and culture. One of the documents opens opportunities for universities to work together in the training of bachelor's degree students.
Within the framework of the agreement it is supposed to train VSGUTU and CHTU students, who study Russian and Chinese languages, in the partner university for one or two semesters. Rector of VSGUTU Igor Sizov noted that graduates of joint bachelor's programs will issue documents of both universities.
Russian university anticipates the arrival of Chinese students for training in economics and journalism in the next fall, and plans to expand the list of disciplines in the future.
Both universities agreed to establish joint research teams to participate in competitions for international research projects in Russia and China.
