11 EU countries did not support the UK call to expel Russian diplomats

11 EU countries have decided not to expel Russian diplomats despite the call by the UK, RIA Novosti informs.

Slovenia, Bulgaria and Austria have just confirmed this decision. Cyprus government has claimed that won't take any actions to the Russian Federation representatives as well.

According to the Spokesman of the Ministry of and European Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Peter Susko, the country authorities have not taken the final decision yet.

Greece, Malta, Belgium, Ireland, Portugal and Luxembourg have not clarified their position on this issue yet.

As we reported before, the other day Washington decided to expel 60 Russian intelligence officers, IA Interfax reports. White House wants to close Russian Consulate in Seattle as well. Russian diplomats have to leave the country in a week.

14 countries of the European Union have made up their mind to expel 20 Russian diplomats. These measures are going to be taken is a response to the Skripal case.
