General Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia held in Moscow

The work of the General Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia started in Moscow on Friday, July 9, TASS reports. Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the general meeting was held online. The number of participants exceeded 800 people. They represent non-governmental organizations from nearly 50 countries.

According to Andrey Belyaninov, who holds the post of Secretary General of the Assembly, it promotes the ideas and values ​​of Eurasian integration, stands for strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and diversified cooperation of peoples. He stressed that the activities of the Assembly are aimed at creating a social integration model of a large Eurasian partnership of peoples, which is based on spiritual and moral principles in the name of establishing peace and harmony.

The participants and organizers of the meeting were greeted by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. He recalled that the Assembly unites scientists and cultural figures, entrepreneurs and public activists. It was attended by talented and caring young people from dozens of countries. The head of state is sure that the Assembly is an excellent opportunity for dialogue on the widest range of issues.
