European companies that announced the suspension of activities in Russia due to the start of a special operation in Ukraine would like to return to the country as soon as possible and resume work, Tadzio Schilling, head of the Association of European Businesses (AEB), stated, Kommersant reports.

The head of the AEB spoke about it at a meeting with adviser to the President of Russia Anton Kobyakov. According to him, European business would like "the soonest resolution of the situation."

Anton Kobyakov noted that the international market cannot develop when restrictions are being imposed on its participants. He also recalled that after the return of Crimea to Russia, business had a significant impact on the easing of sanctions.
