Memorandums of understanding have been signed the day before in Moscow. Representatives of three leading petroleum universities signed the documents, including Rice University in Houston, Taxes, and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.

The gala ceremony, conducted by Russian trade representative office in US was included into the agenda of Russian Energy Week.

Signed documents provide a unique opportunity to attract additional investments and modern technologies into our country. Besides, according to organizers, they will provide additional motivation for development of educational and research programmes in the field of oil and gas, as well as for commercializing of developments made by universities.

A special advisor of Energetics and Initiatives in the Environmental Field programme of Rice University Mickle Moor believes that such activities unquestionably prove that reinforcing relations between Russia and US are beneficial for both countries, and the signed memorandums will become a basis for further development in this direction.
