The works of Dostoevsky and Bulgakov sold best in Russia last year, the Vedomosti telegram channel reports. This is evidenced by data provided by book trade networks, marketplaces and digital book services.

In the Chitai-Gorod stores, Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita became the bestseller among the Russian classics: it sold about 65,000 copies. Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky showed the second besr result - about 52,000 copies.

The 3rd and the 4th positions are also taken by Dostoevsky’s books: The Brothers Karamazov and The Idiot. The top 5 is completed by Yevgeny Zamyatin’s dystopia We.

On the Liters service, Crime and Punishment is the leader. The number of downloads of the book - both free and paid - is approaching 80,000. In 2nd place is The Captain’s Daughter by Pushkin, Dostoevsky's The Idiot is the 3rd.
