Helsinki is going to ban Russians from conducting real estate transactions in Finland, TASS reports. The head of the Ministry of Defense, Antti Häkkänen, promised that this would happen this spring. He said that he is currently looking for grounds consistent with the Finnish legislative framework to introduce this ban.

The head of the defense department also promised that the Finnish authorities will further tighten the conditions for obtaining permits for real estate transactions for legal entities and individuals from countries outside the EU and the EEA (European Economic Area).

A few days ago, Häkkänen banned three real estate transactions, including those involving Russians.

Earlier, the Finnish authorities prohibited almost all Russian citizens from traveling to Finland. They also froze access to banking services for Russians.
