355,000 foreign students study at Russian universities

Today, the number of foreign students in Russian universities is about 355,000 people TASS reports. According to Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Konstantin Mogilevsky, last year this figure was several thousand less. It is even more that the record set during the Soviet Union.

The Deputy Minister spoke about this during his speech at the award ceremony for the ambassadors of Russian education and science.

Famous scientists from different countries became participants in the Ambassadors of Russian Education and Science project. They will present the achievements of Russian science abroad. Among those who received these honorary titles are representatives of Austria, the Dominican Republic, Benin and other countries.

The new project is aimed at promoting universities and research organizations, leading educational practices and brands.
