World Youth Festival kicks off in 100 days

100 days are left before the start of the World Youth Festival (WYF), TASS reports. The countdown began on November 21, at the All-Russian Exhibition Center.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova conveyed her belief that festival attendees would witness Russia's finest accomplishments, showcasing everything our country has achieved in the brief span from 2017 to 2024. She has also highlighted the vibrant presence of the youth movement in Russia, emphasizing their active engagement and support for each other and those in need. The politician asserted that despite sanctions and restrictions, people continue to be drawn to our country.

The Festival of Youth to be held for the fourth time. The first two were hosted by the Soviet Union, in 2017 it was held in Sochi.

Organizing committee summed up the work done and concluded that everything is set for the festival. Impressively, over 250 thousand applications for participation were received from 183 countries.

As was reported earlier, Russia expects at least 20,000 people to attend the WYF next year. The festival starts in Sochi on March, 1. The guests and participants of the will gather in the Sirius center.
