Bilingual summer camp for children kicked off in Portugal

On July 3, 2023, a bilingual children's camp began its work in Albufeira, Portugal. The camp is supported by the Russkiy Mir Foundation. Its goal is to provide leisure activities for Russian-speaking children from 10 to 16 years old from Russian and Portuguese families.

The organizer of the camp is the Rodnik Association of cultural and educational centers, which unites Russian-speaking schools and centers.

The work of the camp will be aimed at expanding the general and linguistic horizons of its visitors, developing their cognitive interests, creative abilities, culture of interethnic communication, organizing active intellectual and physical recreation.

For two weeks, classes in the Russian language and history will be held daily in the camp. Sports events, drama and singing classes, excursions and visits to the water park are planned. A team of highly qualified teachers and educators are working in the camp.

17-year-old Dmitry Pinchuk from Moscow won the world's most prestigious saxophone competition held in Dinant, Belgium, the hometown of the saxophone's inventor, Adolphe Sax. The competition showcased the triumph of the Russian saxophone school, with three Russians among the six finalists. All three are not only students at the Moscow Frederic Chopin College but also disciples of the renowned Russian saxophonist Nikita Zimin.
