Over 200 people took part in the Songs and Dances of the Peoples of Russia festival, which was held at the Russian Club in Sydney. The program included musical and dance performances, a show of folk costumes, exhibitions of folk art and treats, the Edinenie newspaper reports.

The festival was organized by the Russian Cultural Center of Sydney. The guests listened to Russian folk songs. The musical and dance groups of the Australian Russian-Chinese Friendship Association took to the stage.

In the hall where the event was held, there were exhibitions of folk crafts. Shows of national costumes and headdresses of the peoples of Russia turned out to be breathtaking. The outfits were made by Russian craftsmen living in Australia.

The festival was attended by representatives of Russian organizations in Sydney and Russian diplomats, who awarded representatives of the Russian community in Australia for the preservation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Russia.
