Russian Style workshop held in Paris

14.06.2023

On June 9, 2023, master classes on making items in the Russian style were held in the Russian Spiritual and Cultural Orthodox Center in Paris. The workshops took place as part of the Tenishevsky Heritage Traditions project, supported by the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The participants got acquainted with the Russian style concept, learned about the role of Maria Tenisheva in its revival and popularization. The French and Russian compatriots living in France painted the wooden Tenishevskaya owl, which was one of Tenisheva's favorite toys.

The Making Women's Jewelry master class was held by Olga Kenya, a designer from Bryansk. The participants got acquainted with the felting technique, made balls of wool themselves, decorated them with beads, and as a result, a beautiful handmade brooch was made.
