Russian musicians won awards at the 5th Takamatsu International Piano Competition. The pianist of the Moscow Philharmonic Philip Lynov became the winner of the performance review, and Nail Mavlyudov, a graduate of the Moscow Pyotr Tchaikovsky Conservatory, became third, Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova wrote on her telegram channel.

The history of the competition in Japan has been going on since 2006. The event allows performers from different countries to present their talent on the big stage and meet musicians from all over the world.

Lyubimova compared the Japanese competition with the Russian International Tchaikovsky Competition, noting that both projects open up new talented performers for listeners. The Minister of Culture congratulated the Russian pianists on their successful performance and wished them new achievements.
