Philologists aim to develop tools for adequate Russian-Chinese translation

Tyumen State University language specialists stated the importance of developing tools for adequate translation from Russian into Chinese. Judging by translation difficulties of the world-famous novel Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes by Guzeli Yakhina, translated into three dozen languages. Philologists pointed out difficulties during translation of some Russian words into Chinese, reports TASS. 

It is challenging to translate into Chinese the “essence of everyday existence” of the characters, identifying and comparing lexical, semantic, stylistic and grammatical units. There are actually some Russian-language expressions that don’t have analogues in Chinese.

The TSU translator specialists notes that adequate translation tools are necessary for successful relations’ development between the two countries in culture and other areas. Everyday life situations literary vocabulary has to be developed better.
