Ivanovo State University (IvSU) and Yeditepe University from Istanbul have reached agreements on organizing exchange trips for students and teachers to study languages. Joint scientific and publishing activities are also expected, according to Izvestno.ru.

At IvSU they said that the exchanges will be held in linguistic programs. Turkish students will study Russian in Ivanovo, while Russians will go to Istanbul to learn Turkish. Teachers from universities in the two cities will be recruited to deliver lectures at the partner university.

The parties also planned to implement a double degree program, which involves training students at both universities and receiving diplomas of Russian and Turkish samples. Yeditepe University is one of the largest private universities in the country.

IvSU is actively establishing cooperation with universities from different countries. At the moment, Ivanovo University has partnership relations with 26 universities from seventeen states, including China, Germany, France, Spain and other countries of the European Union and the CIS.
