The choir of the Otrada orphanage at the St. Nicholas Chernoostrovsky Monastery in the Kaluga Region will give concerts in Dortmund and Hamburg on September 20 and 22. Performances will become part of the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture, included in the program of the "Russian Seasons" cultural project. Russian performers will present Russian folk songs, spiritual works and compositions to verses by Russian classics, the website of the Ministry of Culture of Russia reports.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Otrada shelter, created with the blessing of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II. A few years after the establishment of the institution a choir was established, which over time became one of the most noticeable children's groups in Russia. The choir has performed in many regions of the country and around the world, and also has become the owner of prestigious music awards.

Otrada will open the German tour on September 20 in one of the Orthodox parishes of Dortmund, and two days later will perform at the Cultural and Spiritual Center of the Russian Orthodox Church in Hamburg. Admission to concerts is free.

This year, the Russian Seasons project is being held in Germany; its program included over 400 concerts, festivals, performances, exhibitions and other events in 80 cities of the country. Russkiy Mir reported that over the first six months, the geography of Russian Seasons covered sixty-three German cities.
