Three exhibitions dedicated to the anniversary of All-Russian Exhibition Center are opening

The art exhibition starts working at the All-Russian Exhibition Center on Wednesday, July 31, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes. It is located in the Worker and Kolkhoz Woman pavilion and is included in the program of festive events dedicated to the anniversary of the pavilion. This year it turns 80 years old. 

Ulyanovsk Art Museum is holding the exhibition. Works of famous Russian masters were brought to Moscow from its collection. Paintings by Ilya Repin, Arkady Plastov, Vasily Polenov and Vasily Vereshchagin will be presented. 

The audience can also see the works of Pablo Picasso, including The Owl and several decorative panels. 

The exhibition will run until November 3. 

Another exhibition entitled The History of Dreams will also be located in the Worker and Kolkhoz Woman pavilion. Photographs from VDNKh archives, the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography, TASS and Multimedia Art Museum will tell about the history of the exhibition from the middle of the last century to the present day. The photographs depict foreign delegations, the first cosmonaut, international festivals held at VDNKh, and much more. 

The project named Look at the Exhibition! Or the Cultural Code of All-Russian Exhibition Center is presented in Karelia pavilion. It presents the objects of Soviet life, elements of Russian design and the work of Russian artists. The exhibition presents VDNKh as a source of inspiration for creative people. It includes records of musicians, artists and poets, memories of cultural and art workers. 

As Russkiy Mir reportet, about a hundred events are planned for the anniversary of All-Russian Exhibition Center. Residents and guests of Russian capital will be invited to festivals, concerts, exhibitions, meetings and workshops. The Inspiration festival was held, and the Day of Russian Family and Love was celebrated. The City Day will be celebrated as well. In honor of the anniversary, a space satellite was launched.
