Russia will begin to take mirror measures against representatives of French media, Russian Foreign Ministry said. The Ministry reminded that Paris regularly refuses Russian journalists to issue accreditations for various events.

70 cases were recorded when Russian media were denied communication last year. All this is done by decree of the Elysée Palace. In addition, violations continue this year. For the most part, RT TV channel and Sputnik information agency are suffering. In France, our media are accused of being engaged exclusively in propaganda.

Infringement of the rights of Russian media in France continues. In particular, they were denied accreditation to the international Trianon Startup forum, which is scheduled for mid-April. It will be held under the auspices of Russian-French Trianon Dialogue civil forum. At the same time, French side refers to the “instruction” received from the Elysée Palace, explaining that “participation in the event is prohibited for RT and Sputnik”. Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that Moscow was one of the organizers of the bilateral event.

This fact was the last straw. Russia has repeatedly warned about the inadmissibility of such an attitude to the media. Now the warning period is over, and the next one has begun, where mirror measures will be taken to the French media.
