Ukrainian authorities continue denying Russian diplomats' access to the journalist Kirill Vyshinsky, RT TV Channel reports. According to the official representative of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova, they refer to the fact that he has the passport of Ukranian citizen.

MFA's representative has once again appealed to the international community to prepare corresponding assessment to Kiev's "lawlessness."

Earlier the court in Kherson has prolonged his arrest till September 13.

As Russkiy Mir has reported, the Editor-in-chief of the media portal RIA Novosti Ukraine has been detained last month. Ukrainian authorities accuse him of high treason and support of the Donbass republics. In case the court admits his guilt, the journalist can be sentenced up to fifteen years of imprisonment.

The journalist considers his arrest as a fact of human rights violation. Acting in court, he has refused his Ukrainian citizenship. According to Kirill Vyshinsky, he recognizes himself only as a Russian citizen. The journalist has also appealed to the Russian President for legal protection.

Russia has demanded from Kiev to release Kirill Vyshinsky immediately. Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared his arrest as shocking since he was detained under a false pretence and been unfairly accused of high treason.
