Russian and German Universities participate in EU students exchange program

Tomsk State University (TSU) has started cooperation with the German University of Greifswald, Interfax news agencyreports. The universities signed an agreement on academic exchanges within the European program Erasmus+.

According to the document, students and teachers will be able to study or have an intership abroad. Exchanges are planned on several subjects such as history, political science and German philology. The program is quite competitive. The studients must speak language of the host country, be good in all subjects and have an active lifestyle.  
The document will enter into force in the middle of this academic year and will end at the beginning of 2021. 

TheEuropean Union grants funds for the Erasmus+. Students will receive a scholarship during the program, their transportand accommodation costs will be payed.

The Russian university representatives believe that the cooperation of the two universities will result in a common education program. It may develop into joint scientific work.

The agreement also includes internships and guest lectures read by teachers from Russian and German universities.
