Berlin is interested in developing cooperation with Russia in the scientific and educational fields, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the German minister of state for international cultural politics Michelle Müntefering, answers to the large-scale challenges of our time can only be found if efforts are combined. The minister called the cross-border exchange in the field of science necessary.

The cooperation between the universities of the two countries, the conduct of joint scientific research clearly shows what results can be achieved if the forces are combined, Müntefering is sure.

She assured that international cooperation had a positive effect on understanding and helped build confidence between countries. Müntefering believes that Germany is determined to develop this cooperation. She added that she was enthusiastically awaiting the Year of Germany in Russia. It will begin in the summer of 2020 and end in 2021.

On December 2, Müntefering is scheduled to speak at the Russian-German scientific and educational forum. In addition, the minister will hold a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.
