Teremok website

One of the largest Russian public catering networks Teremok was compelled to close down two of their outlets working in New York. This information was confirmed by the network owner Mikhail Goncharov, RIA Novosti informs.

The owner refused to comment further not to give grounds for unnecessary speculations on the political topics. The network’s founder said that the reason for closing the restaurants in New York was hostile attitude of the officials, in particular, the sanitary inspector.

The first Teremok was opened in New York two years ago, the second one was opened in a few months. However, this spring Goncharov said that their work was impeded by the hostility of the sanitary inspector in New York.

Teremok network appeared in Moscow at the end of the 90ies. Around 300 restaurants were included into the network now, two decades later. They are located in the capital city and in Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar and in many other Russian regions.
