Global Universities Association representative offices to be opened in USA and South Africa

Nikolay Galkin\TASSGlobal Universities Association has shared its plans to establish representative offices of Russian universities in Washington, according to the website of University Book magazine.

Acting rector of the Far Eastern Federal University Nikita Anisimov has claimed at 19th World Festival of Youth and Students about entering the US educational space. The rector of the Far Eastern Federal University has acknowledged that relations between Russia and USA leave much to be desired, however, it is very important to have representation of Russian education in USA. Besides, Nikita Anisimov has noted that Association has similar plans regarding the Republic of South Africa. The main task of these representative offices is popularization of Russian education abroad and attraction of foreigners into Russian universities.

At present, the Association of Educational Organizations of Higher Education Global Universities includes leading universities of the Russian Federation such as Saint Petersburg State University, Higher School of Economics, MEPhI, Ural Federal University and some others.

Russkiy Mir Foundation is a partner of 19th World Festival for Youth and Student's administration, attracting foreign participants to the festival. Almost two hundred young people from the former Soviet Union and non-CIS countries managed to come to Russia at the festival.
