Sixth Forum of Russian compatriots took place in Washington, TASS reports. 

The need for further work on Russian culture popularisation and joint Russian-American history is marked in the final resolution. The preparation for the 75th Day of Victory celebration is one of the key activities. Apart of that, small nations' festivals, commemorative initiatives linked to the commemorative dates in Russian history and culture to be held in the US. The forum participants backed the idea of conducting All-American conference of Russian language teachers. The participants have marked the importance of joining the informational resources related to the  Russian compatriots in other countries

Initiative to to collect signatures in support of summit with participation of Russian and American leaders is marked as a separate line in the document. Publicist and community leader Eduard Losansky is responsible for collecting signatures. He is working in the field of Russian-American relations for many years. 

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said on a number of occasions that he's ready to meet with his  American counterpart when the US will be ready for the dialogue.
