New Putin graffiti appears in Berlin

07.10.2017

Die Matratze/VKGraffiti with Vladimir Putin portrait has appeared in Berlin, TASS reports. The appearance of the graffiti coincided with Russian President's birthday. Vladimir Putin turns today 65 years old.

Street artists have added few lines from Friedrich Schiller's Ode to Joy in Russian and German. Anthem of Europe is based on rhymes from this poem. Two pigeons are also, one of them is placed on the Russian President's hand.

The graffiti is located on a border of Mitte and Kreuzberg boroughs. It is remarkable that infamous Berlin Wall used to be located very near to this area.

Vladimir Putin traditionally celebrates his birthday in the narrow circle of relatives and friends. Aside of that this Saturday was a regular day of work - the meeting with permanent members of Security Council  and many important telephone talks were on his busy schedule.
