Vladimir Putin marks 65th birthday

07.10.2017

Russian President celebrates his 65th birthday today, TASS reports.

Despite the celebration Russian President's day is going in working mode. Meeting with permanent members of the Security Council and many telephone calls were on his busy schedule. Vladimir Putin has received numerous messages with birthday greetings from heads of state and government and heads of international organisations.

Vladimir Putin traditionally celebrates his birthday in the narrow circle of relatives and friends.

It is worth mentioning that this age is very typical for the country leaders. Nikita Khrushchev turned 65 in 1959, Leonid Brezhnev marked 65 in the very beginning of 1970s, Boris Yeltsin was reelected exactly at this age. British Prime-minister Theresa May is 61, and Germany head of state Angela Merkel is 63. Donald Trump is 6 yeas older, but he has come to politics later, before making a great career in other fields.
