Vladimir Putin embarked on a visit to the UAE and Saudi Arabia

Russian President Vladimir Putin launched his foreign visit on Wednesday, December 6, RIA Novosti reported. The Russian leader is expected in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.

The high-level talks are be dedicated to cooperation in the oil sector. In addition, the parties will discuss relations between the countries, international and regional agenda. They will exchange views on the conflict between Israel and Palestine, and will touch upon the topic of a special military operation.

The Russian delegation includes Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Prime Ministers Andrei Belousov and Alexander Novak, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, heads of Roscosmos and Rosatom Yuri Borisov and Alexei Likhachev. The president is also accompanied by heads of major business organizations.

The Kremlin deemed the visit to the Middle East highly significant. It is expected to not only invigorate bilateral ties but also convey a signal to the international community.

In Abu Dhabi, Vladimir Putin is set to meet with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In Riyadh, he has scheduled meetings with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, who also serves as the Chairman of the Saudi Council of Ministers.
