Russian President Vladimir Putin's working visit to the Middle East took place on the eve of December 6, TASS reported. The Russian leader visited the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. In Abu Dhabi, he met with his counterpart Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In Riyadh, with Crown Prince and head of the Council of Ministers Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. 

While most of the visit was held behind closed doors, the grand reception of the Russian leader signifies the strong relations between the two sides. Putin's flight was escorted by Russian military aircraft, and the skies above Abu Dhabi were adorned with the Russian tricolor. Flags of both nations embellished the streets, highlighting the significance of the visit.

Vladimir Putin praised the development of relations between the Russian Federation and the UAE. He invited the head of the future BRICS member state to next year's summit in Kazan.

In Riyadh, Putin expressed confidence in enhancing friendly ties with the Crown Prince, highlighting their unprecedented level in recent years. Mohammed bin Salman referred to Putin as a "dear and special guest on Saudi soil," and Putin extended an invitation for the crown prince to visit Moscow.

Russkiy Mir reported that he high-level talks are be dedicated to cooperation in the oil sector. In addition, the parties will discuss relations between the countries, international and regional agenda. They will exchange views on the conflict between Israel and Palestine, and will touch upon the topic of a special military operation.

The Kremlin emphasized the visit's importance, citing its role in bolstering bilateral ties and signaling to the international community.
