Sergey Lukyanov: Around the world by foot
The resident of St. Petersburg Sergey Lukyanov reached the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, covering thousands of kilometers by foot. It took him 22 months to walk through 21 countries. According to 60-year-old athlete, he had to spend around one million rubles to realise his dream.

He embarked on the adventure from St. Petersburg in early April of 2015. Brave traveler pedestrian had reached Rio de Janeiro by the beginning of Olympic games. He came back to the Northern capital several days ago. Sergey Lukyanov took a minimum of things, just to fit in a backpack, and his diet included dried meat and cheese. In addition, he refused from overnight stays in hotels.

The traveler had to make two flights. He took a plane from Singapore to South America, as well as to return from Brazil to Russia.

One of the conclusions that Lukyanov made during his hiking trip is the following: а man is capable of almost anything, the main thing is to resist one's fears. On the road, in addition to extreme conditions, he had to deal with many difficulties, including local criminals. More than once, the Russian almost became a robbery victim.

Most of all, Lukyanov enjoyed Malaysia and Thailand, but everywhere he had been, he felt homesick for Saint Petersburg. Now the traveler is going to write a book about his adventures.
