Dates Announced for Golden Minbar Film Festival in Kazan

Filmmakers from Russia, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Britain, the US and other countries will bring their work to the 7th International Muslim Film Festival, to be held in Kazan from September 6 through 11.

Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema is an annual forum of cinematographers, a place of regular meetings, an exchange of experience and cooperation between filmmakers of Russia and Muslim countries and the entire world.

The festival is open not only to Muslims, but also the representatives of other faiths creating films, popularizing universal spiritual, moral and cultural traditions. The purpose of the given festival is creation of objective representation in Russia and the world community about Islam and Muslims.
