Director of Metropolitan Library Awarded for Support of Russian Culture in Bulgaria

The jury of the "Gold Muse" contest honored Director of MKI "Metropolitan Library" Mikhail Belchev with a prestigious award for creation of the Russian Culture and Art Connoisseurs Club at the Russian Center in Sofia and for his great contribution to the promotion of the Russian language and culture in Bulgaria.

Early in April of 2013 the 19th ceremony of Gold Muse Awards presentation was a tremendous success. The event was held at the Russian Culture and Information Center in Sofia.. Awards were presented to prominent Bulgarians workers of culture, art and education who made an appreciable contribution to the development of Bulgarian-Russian relations in the humanitarian sphere.

The ceremony was carried out with support of Sofia's City Hall, Russian Embassy in Bulgaria, the musical production company Joker-Media, a representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bulgaria, Sofia Philharmonic and Darik Radio under the patronage of the Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Yuri Isakov.
