Center of Russian Studies to Open in Luxembourg

11.04.2013

The Expert Center of Russian Studies Soon is soon to be launched in Luxembourg. Negotiations are already under way. Participating on the Russian side is the Russkiy Mir Foundation, supported by the Russian Embassy.

In the opinion of Anton Ilin, a European representative of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the center may open its doors by the end of this year or at the very start of the next year.

The Center of Russian Studies is created to present unbiased information about Russia, as a public education venue.

In the words of Mark Entin, Ambassador of Russia to Luxembourg, the authorities of Luxembourg are interested in this project to succeed. The center will be a 100% Luxembourg-based legal entity integrated into the academic and expert community of the grand duchy. In interaction with Russian partners it will be able "to present to politicians, parliamentarians, civil society and businesspeople objective information about Russia."

The Center will have the opportunity to prepare thematic reports, dossiers and information packages for those interested in Russia, who would like to develop their business or travel in this country, ITAR-TASS quotes the diplomat.
