Russian Center in Innsbruck to Join Campaign in April

24.01.2011

On January 26, the Russkiy Mir Foundation will open a Russian Center in Innsbruck, the first such center in Austria and 68th in world. Dr. Ingeborg Ohnheiser, director of the Institute of Slavic Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Innsbruck, said that the center plans to participate in the First in Space campaign:

“We plan to host several events in the near future. In February we are inviting Russian language teachers in the Tyrol region to visit the center and become acquainted with the language learning opportunities it provides. Starting in March we will launch a series of lectures called Russia Today, devoted to the politics, economics, history and culture of Russia. I am confident that the lecture series will allow us to present a multifaceted view of contemporary Russia. April, as throughout all of Russkiy Mir, will be dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight and we are joining the Russkiy Mir Foundation’s First in Space campaign.”
