Russia Day in Dresden

17.06.2010

June 14 the Russian Center at the German-Russian Institute of Culture hosted an awards ceremony for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, blockade survivors and labor camp survivors who had previously not been registered at the Russian Consulate in Leipzig. Nongovernmental organizations recently made an effort to find such survivors in Saxony. Twenty-eight participated in the ceremony on Russia Day.

Russian General Consul G.P. Golub warmly congratulated the participants of the event, wishing them good health and bestowing upon them memorial medals in honor of the 65th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
