Russian Lessons in Slovakia

Interest in Russian language and culture is on the rise in Slovakia, and classes are now being offered not only by schools and universities but Russian compatriot organizations. 
 
In the city of Nitra, the Obschina association has been providing Russian lessons to young children with both Russian and Slovakian roots. Every Friday two groups of students, elementary and intermediate, gather at a local auditorium to study Russian language, culture and history.
 
On May 21, Svetlana Ordynskaya from the Russian Center in Bratislava visited students to tell them about the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the Russian Center in Bratislava and answer questions from their mothers.
