The First Conference for Teachers of Social Sciences, organized by the Civil Society Development Foundation in collaboration with the Russian Association of Political Science, was held in Moscow on April 8-9. The forum's theme was “The Political System of Russia: Development Trends.”

More than 70 representatives of the academic-pedagogical community from 18 regions participated.

The conference program provided for lectures and discussions on modern methodology of teaching social sciences, political sociology, interaction between the government and civil society, and the development of Russia's political system.

On April 9, Russkiy Mir Foundation Management Board Chairman Vyacheslav Nikonov lectured on the subject “Russia and the World: Priority Areas of Foreign Policy.”
