Nikita Mikhalkov to Chair Jury at International Film Festival in Beijing

The world-famous Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov will preside over the jury of the 3rd International Film Festival, which is opening today in Beijing, Voice of Russia reports.

There are over 260 entries from 20 countries vying for the festival’s top awards, including Mikhalkov’s very own The Barber of Siberia, I’ll Be Around by Pavel Ruminov and Treasure Hunters by Nikolai Shcherbakov.

The festival’s top Tantian Award comes in ten nominations, including for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Actress) and Best Screenplay. The festival runs until April 23.
