In Charity Battle of Legends, Soviet-Russian Stars Edge out American Rivals

A team made up of legends of Soviet and Russian ice hockey has defeated a team of North American hockey legends in a charity match, Voice of Russia reports.

The match was held on Saturday in the NHL arena of the New Jersey Devils, and ended with a score 7:6 in favor of the Russians.

All proceeds from the charity event, said to be approximately $50,000, will go to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey.
