Medvedev Meets with Turkish Business Elite

13.05.2010

Russia and Turkey may increase their trade turnover to 100 billion US dollars in the coming years, Voice of Russia reports. President Medvedev stressed the importance to navigate the two countries’ trade away from dependence on the Euro and US Dollar. “We should gradually switch to the Ruble and Turkish Lira, forming Russo-Turkish banks on the way”, says the Russia Leader. He hoped for better understanding and mutual cooperation in surmounting problems on both sides. Judicial, customs and logistics issues are crucial here, Medvedev believes.
