Russian scientists have relaunched cooperating with colleagues from Guinea, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science's Telegram channel reported. The interaction was established between the Crimean Kovalevsky Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Conakry-Rogbane Research Center (CERESCOR).

The center's main building, initially constructed by GIPRONII of the USSR Academy of Sciences, saw a revival of scientific collaboration after a 30-year hiatus. Russian and Guinean scientists are jointly developing technology to assess the ecological condition of river basins in Guinea, with a long expedition underway. The Russian Institute, as a founding member of the Russian-African Network University consortium, actively collaborates with Guinea, Djibouti, and Zimbabwe.
